Michael Floyd has worked in the auditing departments of both national and local accounting firms, as well as held manager and executive roles in the accounting and financial departments of several local companies including NextEra Energy, AutoNation, Carrier, and PDS.  Currently, he is the Senior Director of Accounting and Compliance for ADT Solar, headquartered in Boca Raton, FL.  He first joined the Families First board of directors in 2006 while working for the accounting firm Ernst & Young.  After accepting a position in Broward County, he left the board for two years, but returned in 2011 when he came back to Palm Beach County.

Michael is a native of Palm Beach County and currently lives in Jupiter with his wife Nicki, along with his two boys and three stepchildren, while his daughter attends Syracuse University.  After attending the University of Florida, he received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University.  In 2010, he became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Florida.  He is also a member of the American Institute for CPA’s.
