Jim Springer recently reentered the community banking business as Chief Lending Officer at Bank of Belle Glade.
Jim lives in Loxahatchee. He is married with two children and six grandchildren. He grew up on the West Coast of Florida, and attended the US Air Force Academy. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, and he graduated from both the University of Virginia’s Graduate School of Banking in 1996, and the University of Colorado’s Graduate School of Banking in 2013.
Jim’s favorite past-times include traveling and racquet sports.
Over the years Jim has worked with, volunteered with and/or served on boards of directors for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation where is he a past Chairman, the American Heart Association, The Chamber of the Palm Beaches, the Diabetes Research Institute, Boy Scouts of America, and Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches where he is a past Chairman. Jim has served his industry as a board member and Past President for the South Florida Chapter of RMA, as a Board Member for the Florida Regional Chapter of RMA, as a Board Member and Board Chair with Florida Business Development Corporation, one of the largest Certified Development Companies in the United States, and as a voting member on the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Nominating Advisory Committee.
Today Jim is an active Board Member, and Board Vice President for Families First of Palm Beach County, and is a Board Member with the Glades Initiative. In 2006 Jim was an honoree at the Florence Fuller Child Development Centers annual Men with Caring Hearts program for his outstanding community service.
