Leadership Team

Elsira Bravo, MPH

Chief Program Officer

Elsira is a Public Health professional and currently serves as the Chief Program Officer at Families First. She began her tenure with the agency as a Care Coordinator in the evidence‑based Child First program, where she served for two and a half years. Her strong performance and commitment to quality improvement led to her promotion to Director of Compliance and Quality Assurance, a role in which she strengthened program fidelity, enhanced internal systems, and supported agencywide compliance efforts.

Since 2024, Elsira has served as the Chief Program Officer, overseeing all program operations, ensuring programs meet deliverables, and supporting the programmatic side of the agency in advancing its mission. In this role, she leads strategic program development, staff support, and operational alignment across multiple service areas.

Elsira has expertise in organizing and planning community‑based initiatives, conducting program evaluations, and providing health education to the public. She practiced and worked concurrently during her graduate studies to master these skills and applied them during her time as an Outreach Educator at Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies and as a graduate Public Health Data Intern at The Sari Center.

Since 2018, Elsira has worked to advocate for equity and address social determinants of health by identifying disparities through community‑based research. At Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies, she organized community focus groups to identify barriers faced by high‑risk prenatal clients and improve early prenatal care. As a result, she collaborated with local nonprofits, the University of Miami, and Florida Atlantic University’s first‑year medical students on health fairs and in‑field research.

During the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, Elsira volunteered as an interpreter at John Prince Park to assist in storm relief for those who had lost power and access to food. She has also volunteered with the Drowning Prevention Coalition and remains a strong supporter of water safety in the Sunshine State.

Elsira received her Master of Public Health from Florida International University at the Robert Stempel College of Public Health and Social Work with a focus on Community Epidemiology as well as Maternal and Child Health. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Florida Atlantic University. As a former educator, Elsira is passionate about education and plans to begin a doctoral journey.

She is also a member of the 2026 Leadership Palm Beach County Class, where she continues to deepen her commitment to collaborative leadership, civic engagement, and strengthening the systems that support Palm Beach County’s most vulnerable families.
